When I started my photography career, now about thirteen years ago, the first person I photographed was my neighbor’s daughter. That very first shoot set the standard for all my work afterwards. Even today, after having photographed so many different things, working with children is still what I enjoy most.
Their sweet honesty and enormous zest for life bring out the best in me. During the shoot, there is always plenty of time for playing, running around and chatting. Usually, there is very little posing involved as I take the photographs while the kids are busy telling me things and showing me stuff.

All children are part of a family and that is reflected in my photographs also. Most of the time, everybody has a really good time, and any stress that may have been present beforehand quickly gets forgotten.
